Orchestrato is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager on behalf of a leading civil contractor to support water and utility infrastructure projects in the Southeast Water Division based in Atlanta, Georgia.

About the Role

As an Assistant Project Manager, you’ll work alongside senior leaders to support all phases of water infrastructure project delivery. From managing budgets and subcontractors to overseeing project engineers and ensuring quality outcomes, you’ll be a hands-on contributor helping to deliver complex civil works on time and within scope.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in project planning, scheduling, and coordination with field and office teams

  • Track project budgets, support cost forecasting, and handle change order processes

  • Oversee safety protocols and maintain quality assurance on-site

  • Lead subcontractor coordination and performance tracking

  • Mentor and supervise project engineers and field support staff

  • Help resolve jobsite issues related to labor, delivery, or contract administration

  • Maintain records of vehicles, equipment, tools, and materials


What You Bring

  • 4+ years of experience in civil or water infrastructure construction

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (preferred)

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a proactive communication style

  • Familiarity with construction scheduling, budgeting, and project controls

  • Previous experience working on large civil or utility projects is highly desirable

  • Willingness to relocate if required for future opportunities
